RFID Wardrobe - Smart Wardrobe New Application

The startup company ThreadRobe, located in Virginia, plans to automate the way people store and manage their clothes. Its new automated wardrobe - combined with passive ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID technology, and a mobile app. With this RFID wardrobe, users can store clean clothes in a box and then identify each piece of clothing via RFID technology, and the closet will automatically hang it. When the customer needs to get dressed, the RFID closet will be automatically steam ironed and provided to the user.

RFID wardrobes use many technologies, such as RFID. First, the user must apply the RFID tag to each garment vendor. RFID tags include socks, underwear, swimwear, shirts, casual pants, jeans and suits.

An individual user uses the application on his smartphone to enter information about each piece of clothing, including taking pictures so that the system knows its color. Photos are also used to identify clothes in the App. Matt Powell, founder and CEO of ThreadRobe, said it takes about 30 seconds to identify each garment. Then, the user holds the RFID tag in the clothing station in the reading range of the UHF RFID reader (the RFID antenna is installed inside the wardrobe, but is designed to recognize reading on the outside) so that the RFID tag ID can be Linked to the costume. ThreadRobe uses a variety of UHF RFID readers and antennas.

The ThreadRobe application can be used when customers need to remove clothes. The application-based data is passed to the closet and then the clothing attached to the hook (which has been linked to its RFID number) is released at the selected time and steamed at a preset level prior to release. To the user, the clothes are not folded because it needs steam ironing, at the same time, it should be wrinkle-free and ready to be worn.
