Spanish children's clothing retailer Charanga has announced that it will deploy the Nedap iD Cloud platform in all of its own stores, franchises and display areas in Ingles department store stores in Spain, Portugal and Italy. The retailer's goal is to have inventory visibility across its supply chain.
Charanga announced that the Nedap platform will cover 150 stores, and will use RFID technology to view inventory in real time to optimize product visualization capabilities across all channels, which optimizes service capabilities for multiple consumption methods including buy online, pickup in store (BOPIS) and home delivery, and the technology also helps reduce operating costs.
Manuel De la Maza, CEO of Charanga, said in a statement: "In order to provide our customers with a pleasant and transparent shopping experience no matter where they spend, we have deployed RFID-based equipment in all stores so that customers can more easily find the styles and quantities they need when consuming, and even if some stores are out of stock, we can allocate them in the shortest time, or even mail them home.”
